Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) is a contagious virus that causes lower respiratory illness. For most people, RSV infection presents like a common cold and resolves quickly. However, for older adults, it can lead to more serious complications, even hospitalisation.
Here at AusTrials, we are conducting a research study to test the safety and immune response of an experimental vaccine for RSV when co-administered with an approved influenza vaccine.
You may be eligible for this study if you:
- Are over the age of 65
- Are generally healthy or have stable chronic medical conditions
- Have not had a flu vaccine in the last six months
This study is being conducted at the following locations:
- Taringa, QLD
- Wellers Hill, QLD
The study involves three clinic visits over two months. Eligible participants will receive the vaccinations free of charge and will be compensated for their time and effort.
