Clinical Study Details
Osteoporosis is a ‘silent’ condition in which a loss of bone density increases the risk of serious fractures.
Here at AusTrials we are conducting an observational study in women over the age of 50 who have experienced a fracture due to their osteoporosis in the last 12 months, in comparison to women over the age of 50 who have not recently experienced a fracture.
The study aims to investigate the effects of osteoporotic fractures on productivity (in terms of decreased paid or unpaid work) and physical functioning during activities of daily living.
This study consists of a review of medical history and completion of a survey. Eligible participants will be compensated $50 for their time and effort.
The study is being conducted at three AusTrials clinics across Brisbane:
- Taringa
- Victoria Point
- Wellers Hill (Tarragindi)
Please contact AusTrials on 07 3278 5255 for further information or fill out the form below and we will get back to you. Use the links at the bottom of the page to share this study on social media or by email with friends or family who may be interested.
