Have you been diagnosed with kidney disease due to your diabetes and are currently on a common blood pressure medication? If so, you may able to take part in a clinical study of a new treatment for people with type 2 diabetes that AusTrials is conducting at the Westside Private Hospital in Taringa.
You may be able to take part in the study if you are:
- 18 Years and older, of either sex
- Have type 2 diabetes
- Have been diagnosed with kidney disease (by finding protein in your urine)
- On one of two commonly used medications for your blood pressure
Medications ending in –pril eg. Enalapril, Captopril, etc
Medications ending in -sartan eg. Irbesartan, Candesartan etc
The study is being conducted at this location:
- Taringa, QLD
Qualified participants will receive:
- Study medications and visits at no cost
- Diabetes education – fully funded
- Compensation for time and travel involved in the study.
