A partnership with AusTrials offers you and your patients improved access to clinical research. AusTrials will provide you with all necessary information about upcoming clinical trials, including applicable patient inclusion/exclusion criteria. You simply forward the details of eligible volunteers to us for follow-up and trial sign-up.
AusTrials does not assume general care of your patients. Your patients are able to continue their regular care for the duration of the trial. As a result of closer monitoring and improved access to medical staff, patients in general have better health outcomes from participation in clinical trials.
We offer remuneration for your time and effort in the referral process. AusTrials also offers opportunities for health professionals interested in conducting clinical trials.
Patient Safety
All clinical research must be approved by the Human Research Ethics Committee before volunteers can be asked to participate. As with all medications, there are risks of adverse reaction to the study medication. AusTrials only offers ethically approved clinical trials, carefully designed to minimize the risks and ensure the safety of study volunteers.
- Study co-coordinators carefully interview each potential volunteer about their health and any current treatments to determine if the study is right for the volunteer.
- Trial specific information is provided to each volunteer, explaining the study, what to expect, and when to contact a health professional.
- Volunteers are closely monitored by experienced health professionals and researchers throughout the course of the study.
- Volunteers are in contact with researchers to report on their overall health and well-being and to voice any questions or concerns.
- Volunteers are able to continue care with their regular GP or care provider.
AusTrials strictly upholds all standards of safety, ethics, and data quality in accordance with ICH GCP.
